Meet Our Staff

Rev. Brady Johnston, Senior Pastor

Brady and his family joined FUMC Midlothian in July 2016 and are proud residents of Midlothian. Brady has served in the United Methodist Ministry since he was 19 as a youth minister, associate pastor and senior pastor.

In addition to his call, Brady is a proud husband to his beautiful wife, Annie and father to Kinsley and Emerson. Annie serves in the area as a speech therapist. Together they spend most of their time chasing their sweet girls. When the girls do settle down it’s typically to watch their favorite movie, Frozen. In case you are wondering, yes, Pastor Brady has all the songs memorized too and no, he does not sing them on Sunday morning.

Dr. April Fehler, Associate Pastor

April and her family joined FUMC Midlothian in July 2017. She has served as a part time associate pastor in the United Methodist Church since 2014. Passionate about serving the local community, she specializes in identifying the needs of the local community and in facilitating the development of programs that meet those needs. April is also a professor at the University of North Texas in Denton, teaching courses on research and community engagement.

April is married to Damon Fehler, a local attorney, and has two sons, Ian and Drew. As a family, they enjoy participating in Midlothian’s Scouting program, Scarborough Faire, the Ellis County Children’s Theater and Cook Children’s Hospital’s Magic Club. The Fehlers have been residents of Midlothian since 2006.

Jason handles all of the Youth activities including development of curriculum, planning events, recruiting and taking care of volunteers, creating opportunities to reach the Youth of our community and helps lead worship on Sunday mornings. Jason is married to his beautiful wife, Raquel who works alongside him in ministry and they have two beautiful daughters.

Keelee Allen, Children’s Director

Keelee has blessed FUMC Midlothian as the Children’s Director since January of 2008. Keelee is passionate about children and passionate about Jesus, so Children’s Ministry is where she has found her fit in the Kingdom of God! Her bright smile and love for people helps children know they are welcome and wanted in our church family.

Keelee’s husband, Seth, serves in the US Marine Corp. They have four children: Bailey, Charlize, Tyler, and Truett. They are an active family in our community and are involved in various organizations. Her kids make life fun, interesting, more blessed, and BUSY! In Keelee’s spare time, you will find her taking pictures, hanging out with her family and friends, cooking, volunteering, and usually, barefoot. Despite her energetic attitude and busy life, her favorite verse is Psalm 46:10, “Be still and know that I am God.”

Mary Beth Mayo, Administrative Assistant

“I am blessed to be able to live and work in my passion: serving and teaching others.” Mary Beth has served at FUMC Midlothian since February, 2014. She arrived with eight years prior experience as a church administrative assistant. She is fond of reading, loves a wide variety of music, and enjoys being outdoors – whether it be gardening, hiking or relaxing near the water. Mary Beth has two grown children, one in Waxahachie and the other in Austin as well as two grandchildren in each of those cities (a total of four). She enjoys watching them participate in their sports activities, school programs and learning to love and live.

Babette Maxwell, Financial Secretary

Matt Sanders, Facilities Manager

Matt has been a member of the church for 15 years. He has always enjoyed using his God given construction abilities to serve our church and try to create a wonderful place to worship.

Michelle Coffin, God’s Garden Preschool Director

“I knew from an early age that I wanted to work with children. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education from Purdue University. I have over 25 years of experience teaching and working with children, including working for NAEYC accredited schools. I believe all children should have access to a safe, high quality early childhood education that includes a developmentally appropriate curriculum; knowledgeable and well-trained staff and educators in an environment that respects and supports our Christian beliefs.

I moved here from Massachusetts with my husband and three kids. After only a month of being in Texas, God brought me to serve at GGP! I am very excited to be part of a great team of dedicated teachers that are here for you and your child.
