Volunteer in Youth Ministries
*Volunteers are extremely vital to the health of our Youth ministry. Without the guidance and support of extra adults we would be severely limited in the amount of people we can minister to and the quality of our ministry would suffer greatly.
Contrary to what many believe, you don’t have to be an expert teacher or loud, outgoing person to make an impact in a young person’s life, you just have to be a genuine, loving person. If you have those qualities here’s some places you can serve in our group:
After School Program:
– Assistant leaders to help set up, take down, and supervise activities from 3:45-5:15pm Mon-Thurs during the school year.
– Snack suppliers to provide snacks like chips or crackers for around 15 youth for each day.
– Commitment for this position is 1 day each week for the duration of the School year.
Jr High ministries:
– Chaperones to drive for events, the more seats, the more kids we can take. Examples of events are found on the Youth Calendar in purple.
– Sunday School teachers who can take curriculum and share with youth every Sunday morning. Commitment for this position is 6 months to a year.
– Small Group Leaders to lead discussion groups after messages for our Wednesday Night Worship services. Leaders will be trained on how to maintain the flow of the service and keep Youth focused. Commitment for this position is every Wednesday Night during the school year.
– Work team and leadership adults for mission work that we do throughout the year. We need experienced people who can teach our youth how to serve their communities in 1 day or 1 week projects. For 1 day projects see In Town Missions in Mission Work tab. For 1 week projects, the Youth Group plan two Mission trips each Summer: 1 for High School in June and 1 for Jr High in July. Adults can serve by being on a leadership team that will help to plan and coordinate trips or by serving as a work team adult who, along with another adult, will take a team of youth to work on a project for the week. Skill levels will vary for this position.
